Visa, ARM and Huawei Join Symbian Foundation
Story posted on: October 21, 2008. Filed in: others.

The Symbian Foundation has received a boost to its numbers as Visa, Huawei, ARM and nine other companies have joined the organization, bringing the total number of companies associated with it to 52. The companies that are linked to the Symbian Foundation will be given free access to Symbian software and development tools. Devices that will be sporting the new Symbian-based platform should be hitting the market by 2010, and will probably compete directly with Google’s Android platform.
