Verizon To Start Charging For SMS
Story posted on: October 11, 2008. Filed in: others.

Word is going around that Verizon Wireless will begin charging its partners (maybe even by November 1st) 3 cents, on top of the current charges, to deliver text messages to Verizon Wireless subscribers. The change was just recently announced and is supposedly aimed at helping them to cut down the overhead costs, which currently are absorbed by Verizon. While Verizon might have its profits in mind, Verizon will probably have to brace itself for strong backlash from its partners.
