HTC Touch HD To Become T-Mobile G2?

Though there isn’t any official confirmation to this just yet, PhoneDog is reporting that T-Mobile is supposedly preparing a version of HTC’s Touch HD to be used as the next Android phone. Seeing as HTC already manufactures T-Mobile’s G1 handset, it’s not entirely impossible for such a thing to happen, and it would seem really interesting to have a full touchscreen Android-powered handset. Of course, at this stage, it’s still a rumor, but a rumor we’d all love to come true. If it does come true, will it be called the G2?
