Android Will Support 16GB Memory Cards

While the official word has been that T-Mobile’s G1 will only support up to 8GB on a microSDHC card, and will only support a 16GB card after a firmware upgrade, apparently a Google spokesperson has confirmed that the new SanDisk 16GB card will run on the current version of Android without the need of a firmware upgrade, which will be good news for users who aren’t fond of flashing the firmware on their phones.
