Velocity Unveils The 83
Story posted on: September 19, 2008. Filed in: others.

Velocity’s 83 smartphone is a Windows Mobile smartphone running Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional. The phone was revealed at CTIA in San Francisco and has a built-in GPS receiver, a pair of microSD card slots which were designed to be used for different things. One slot is actually for storage, while the other slot was designed to be used to store maps for your GPS navigation software, which sounds rather nifty. You’ll also get a 2.8-inch touchscreen to display Velocity’s Odyssey user interface. Other features of the phone will include a 2 megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, and quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900MHz). The phone should be available in November for around $500.
