Satellite Phones For Everybody

ICO Global Communications and Qualcomm are working together on new chips that could be the future of combined cellular/satellite phones. When this new technology is implemented in new baseband chips in cell phones, both cellular and satellite networks can be utilized for voice services. Said chips should be ready to be implemented by 2010.
