Google Invites Asus To Join Open Handset Alliance

Engadget is reporting that Google has asked ASUS to join the Open Handset Alliance. There is speculation that Google wants to work with ASUS because of ASUS’ brand recognition worldwide. Neither Google nor ASUS have commented on the issue just yet. If this goes through, will we be able to buy an Eee Android phone in the future?
