Vodafone Lowers iPhone 3G Price In India

It looks like even the iPhone 3G may not be able to demand some obscene price in India. The iPhone 3G was initially priced at Rs 31,000, which is about $715 for the 16GB model. Vodafone has sensed the danger, and lowered the price by Rs 2,000 (about $46). Unfortunately (for some people), Bharti Airtel is still selling the iPhone 3G at its original price, though they might be pressured into following Vodafone's lead soon. There isn't any word as to whether the price cut was initiated by Apple, or Vodafone, but as long as they lower the price, nobody is going to complain.
