HTC Touch Pro On Sprint And Verizon?
Story posted on: August 5, 2008. Filed in: htc.

Latest reports from The Unwired indicate that Sprint and Verizon are gearing up to launch a CDMA version of HTC’s upcoming HTC Touch Pro, which will feature the sliding keyboard that people have been eagerly awaiting. Sprint has been calling the device the “HTC Herman†whilst Verizon has been calling it the “HTC Raphaelâ€. Based on the details available, both phones should be quite similar, with the main difference being that the HTC Herman runs the original Touch Diamond Qualcomm 7501A chipset at 528MHz, whilst the HTC Raphael uses a Qualcomm 7500 chipset running at only 400MHz. Aside from that, the Raphael will have only 128MB of RAM over the Herman’s 256MB, and finally, the Raphael will also lack the accelerometer that is available on the Herman. The HTC Herman is said to be available on Sprint come early October, whilst the Raphael will come a month later.
