HSBC Denies iPhone Switch
Story posted on: August 20, 2008. Filed in: apple.

Even though it was widely reported that HSBC was considering a massive switch of about 200,000 units of their BlackBerry fleet to Apple’s iPhone, HSBC has come out and denied such reports. The rumors arose when Brenton Hush was quoted by ZDnet as saying that HSBC were considering such a move. However, an HSBC spokesperson has said: “I don't know if he was misquoted or if it was made up, but I can put the rumors to bed now and state there is no truth in it at all. It's simply not going to happen." So it seems like RIM can probably heave a huge sigh of relief (for the moment).
