Application Tells You That You Are Rich

While many developers are clamoring to get their applications onto Apple’s App Store, it seems that some people manage to just put some weird applications there without too much fuss. Armin Heinrich has stuck a rather useless program there called “I Am Rich”, which displays a screen with a red jewel, along with an info button that can show a “secret mantra” that might help you stay rich. While it may seem harmless, its price tag of $999.99 isn’t that funny, especially if you’ve accidentally clicked on it with “one-click purchase” turned on. Fortunately Apple seems to have pulled it off the App Store, but not before the developer has claimed that he sold a few copies of it earlier.
