HTC's Touch Diamond Passes FCC Tests
Story posted on: July 11, 2008. Filed in: htc.

HTC’s Touch Diamond has successfully passed through the FCC’s tests, and it looks like it will be coming to US soil soon. The Canadian carrier Telus has already announced that they will be carrying the CDMA version this summer, albeit with a few notable changes. The main differences will be that Telus will be offering a redesigned housing, with the sharp edges being rounded off to make the phone look smoother, and the battery has been beefed up to 1440mAh, which adds to the thickness of the device.
While the FCC documents do not have any pictures, the model code name was listed as the DIAM500. Both CDMA and WiFi support were tested by the FCC, though there is no word yet if there will be additional features on the CDMA Touch Diamonds bound for the USA.
