T-Mobile USA has just announced that they’ve added the Nokia 6301 to its roster of HotSpot@Home-compatible phones. The 6301 is a tri-band GSM (850/1800/1900MHz) phone that has built-in WiFi, along with UMA support. UMA stands for Unlicensed Mobile Access, and is a technology that allows mobile calls to be transferred between a cellular network and a WiFi hotspot seamlessly.
The Nokia 6301 comes with a dock station, along with a weird marketing line that it “provides the style of a home phone with the look of a mobileâ€. It also boasts a 2 megapixel camera with video capture capabilities, microSD card slot for storage expansion, FM radio as well as Bluetooth with A2DP support for stereo headsets.
