Google's Andy Rubin Talks About Android

Though there are plenty of videos and news of Google’s upcoming Android, it’s not often that they include Andy Rubin, Google’s Senior Director of Mobile Platforms.

Rubin demonstrated the non-touchscreen version of the platform, using a browser designed entirely for button-based navigation, as well as demonstrating the Android’s ability to multitask by using Google Maps seamlessly with a media player and photo app running in the background.

The hardware itself was still kept as a secret as usual, which is understandable, since that Android is designed to work on any phone with at least a 200MHz processor, and Google will be stressing the OS, (operating system) not so much the hardware.
