China Unicom Might Be Getting Apple's iPhone 3G In August
Story posted on: June 18, 2008. Filed in: apple.
This is more of a rumor than fact, so take it with a pinch of salt as usual. There is some news on the internet stating that China Unicom could be the lucky ones to receive Apple’s iPhone 3G in China this August. Steve Jobs hasn’t had a lot of fun trying to get Chinese carriers to buy into his demanding revenue sharing model, but things might be a little smoother this time. It’s also obvious that Apple didn’t just add Chinese character recognition into their phone and expect it to be sold on European markets alone.
Though there isn’t any official news on it yet, August isn’t too far away, so the truth will be out soon, one way or the other.
