Verizon and Mozilla Back Google's Android
Story posted on: May 15, 2008. Filed in: others.
Google’s Android seems to be gaining even more momentum as heavyweights Verizon and Firefox makers Mozilla gave their backing for it. Having hardware and software vendors supporting the Android is probably a big step forward.
Google's Android play started off promisingly, with some 15 companies behind the proto OS in the initial press releases, with further announcements to build up mind share and momentum in the mobile market space.
It will be interesting to see how things shape out once Android is finally released. Rest assured, it will be interesting times.
