Verizon To Release Samsung Glyde on May 9th

For those who have been waiting patiently for the Samsung Glyde, patience is no longer required! Verizon Wireless has announced that it will be available through its website and store locations on May 9th, and it really shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone, as some people have been able to call and order the Glyde from May 1st.

Much like the Voyager, the Glyde will require users to have a Nationwide Calling Plan, mainly for the HTML browser, as it isn’t available for purchase or activation on America’s Choice plans. It will be priced at $249 on a 2 year contract, after a $50 rebate.

• 2.8" capacitive sensitive WQVGA display
• Sliding QWERTY keypad
• HTML browser
• 2.0 megapixel camera with flash
• Bluetooth
• MP3 playback and stereo speakers
• Supports microSDHC cards up to 8GB
