Blackberry picks up DRM-free music in April

RIM took their opportunity at SXSW to showcase their new DRM-free music service which will be hitting the BlackBerry platform in April. Created with partner Magnet Mobile Media, the Puretracks DRM-free store is on track for an April 1 US launch on the Pearl, Curve and 8800 series devices, possibly with compatiblity for WiFi enabled handsets. No word on track pricing yet, but the files will be compressed in AAC / AAC+ format.
