Rogers steals first in North American Sony Ericsson K850

Rogers has announced that they will be the first North American wireless provider to offer the Sony Ericsson K850, which is one of the more high-end of devices offered by the manufacturer. The candybar device focuses on camera functionality with a 5 MP camera and a Xenon flash.

The K850's 3G support should be a nice addition to Rogers' HSDPA network, even offering two-way video calling. Rogers plans to list the device today, available for $200 with a three-year contract and the option to upgrade the 512 MB drive of the device with an 8 GB microSD.
