Ericsson announces U500 12 MP mobile platform

Megapixels might not be the main concern of camera phone users. I mean, right when you hit the 3 MP mark, photo resolution becomes satisfactory for the amateur photographer. This isn't stopping Ericsson from introducing their new U500 mobile camera platform.
This year we're going to see some 8 MP camera phones popping up, and when this baby gets released in the first half of 2009, we can plan on seeing 12 MP camera phones. It might cost you an arm and a leg, but making poster sized prints of camera phone images might be worth it.What's your take?
