NASA bringing mobile phones to the moon

If NASA is as serious about building a moon base at the south pole of the lunar satellite in 2020 as they say they are, then now would be a good time to start planning. NASA scientist along with the British National Space Center are planning to erect a satellite phone service for the moon so astronauts can not only make calls to Earth, but communicate with each other.
NASA and the BNSC plans to launch the Moonlite mission in 2012 as a prototype system for the actual service that will be in place for the astronauts. NASA expects that the men on the moon will get full four-bar service on the lunar service.Tags:
