AT&T joins the unlimited package party

With the recent announcement from both Verizon and Sprint that they’d be offering various unlimited packages, it seems every carrier and their mother is starting to jump into the mix. AT&T is joining the pack with an unlimited calling plan. For a flat rate of $99.99 a month AT&T users get unlimited mobile calling. Sure, it’s not as all-inclusive as what Verizon has to offer, but you’ve got to start somewhere.

The new package will be available February 22, and AT&T says users can change to the new plan without a contract extension, which is always a plus, though iPhone users interested in this plan will still need to pay for a data plan.
