Sprint troubles lead to mass closings and firings
Story posted on: January 18, 2008. Filed in: others.
With a vibe of poor customer service and network problems floating through the public eye, Sprint has found themselves losing their subscriber base, as more and more flock to AT&T and Verizon. The most recent quarter showed Sprint gaining 500,000 subscribers, and then promptly losing 850,000 more. Sprint has decided to close 125 retails stores nationwide and fire 4,000 employees to cut costs. These changes will save Sprint around $700 million and $800 million per year.
