Sony Ericsson roll out new T-Series and R-Series devices

Just as we predicted yesterday, Sony Ericsson has made an announcement today introducing their T270 camera phone and the cameraless T280 phones, and a duo of new radio phones, the R300 and R306. The two T-Series devices are thin (0.5 mm) candybar phones which focus on basic web browsing and calling, both with Bluetooth support and two-tone color design. Instead of a camera on the T280, users get a FM radio with RDS station data support. Both which will be available in March.
The new R-series phones focus on radio, rather than music, for developing areas where radio is still the major form of communication. Both models offer fast access to their AM/FM radios and buttons for tuning presets to favorite stations. 3D sound effects and a volume boost feature allows users to use the built-in speakers for general use. The R300 is a candybar shaped phone with a simple VGA camera. The R306 offers a flip design, larger speakers, and a more advanced 1.3 MP camera. The R300 ships first this spring, while the R306 launches this summer. What's your take?
