AT&T, the big winner of 2007 Q4

While many companies are in the red after a potentially disastrous performance in the last quarter of last year, including Sprint, who recently talked about the possibility of lay-offs, it would appear that AT&T was the big winner of the ending round of 2008. In a performance that was decidedly helped by the acquisition of Apple's iPhone, AT&T showed a record breaking quarter with 2.7 million new wireless customers. Many seem to have made the jump from Sprint to AT&T in the search of greener pastures. Many were just psyched for the iPhone.
