OpenMoko to launch Neo FreeRunner at CES
Story posted on: January 3, 2008. Filed in: others.

OpenMoko today officially announced their open-source Neo FreeRunner device. The FreeRunner is a mass-market version of the Moko 1973 Linux-based device. As can be seen from the original developers model, the Neo FreeRunner maintains the same overall design, but upgrades the hardware with a 500MHz processor, 3D graphics, and a new collection of open-source mobile applications.
The Neo FreeRunner also mixes in support for tri-band GSM and WiFi functionality, as well as gesture-based technology which allows users to command phone events through movement. No pricing or release info just yet. We should know more at CES.Tags:
