In fact, Steve Jobs is actually denying that serious talks were ever in the works. The CEO of Apple claims in a statement to CNBC that representatives for China Mobile only came to Cupertino once to discuss the prospect of the iPhone. Jobs also says that Apple is still interested in eventually providing China with the iPhone. So what’s the deal with China Mobile making it seem like there was some sort of dispute or deep talks? Weird.
