Blackberry patent reveals smart holster options

Don't you hate when you slide your device into the comfort of a belt holster, only to have the sound muted, or numbers dialed by accident? Blackberry has a new patent idea which might help stop these mishaps from occurring. With this new idea, Blackberry devices would have a special mechanism which could sense the magnets in your holster. When the phone senses its being slid into a holster, certain features are disabled, such as the touchscreen or keypad. Because Blackberry understands how awkward it is to "accidentally" dial your ex-girlfriend.

This is an old feature. My BlackBerry holster has locked the keyboard for years.
