iPhone gets a virus, score one for Apple
Story posted on: January 09, 2008, filed in: apple

As odd as it might sound, the appearance of this Apple iPhone virus which has been reportedly making the rounds is a good thing for the Cupertino boys. Sources say that a new virus targets the iPhone, but only iPhone's which are unlocked. This could definitely aid Apple in convincing iPhone users to not purchase unlocked devices.
Though there is a spot of gray on this cloud. It appears that the virus in question was designed by an 11-year old kid. Let the "Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader?" jokes roll. What's your take?

well there ya go... This is only the beginning of this kind of crap. 3rd party developers should consider creating some sort of iPhone firewall/virus scan thing. That might be what we have to do, after all it is only a matter of time before a big dangerous virus or Trojan is developed
