Haier dual SIM phone coming to the US?

Haier says that they are in the process of talking to US carriers to bring their HG-N99 device to the US shores. The Haier device features a dual SIM card, which can receive calls from both cards at once, though cannot make simultaneous outgoing calls. Even so, the dual SIM model is a rare feature for a smartphone, especially so for the US.
Aside from its dual SIM capability, the HG-N99 seems pretty unremarkable as far as smart phones go, featuring a 2 MP camera, microSD slot, Bluetooth and GPRS/EDGE support.
With a vibe of poor customer service and network problems floating through the public eye, Sprint has found themselves losing their subscriber base, as more and more flock to AT&T and Verizon. The most recent quarter showed Sprint gaining 500,000 subscribers, and then promptly losing 850,000 more. Sprint has decided to close 125 retails stores nationwide and fire 4,000 employees to cut costs. These changes will save Sprint around $700 million and $800 million per year.








A new HTC device has popped up, the HTC P3470 or Pharos. The Windows Mobile phone seems to be a small entry-level device. The Pharos is said to offer Bluetooth 2.0 and GPS (as you can see from the TomTom option on the UI), but sadly no Wifi and only running off of a TI OMAP CPU at 200 MHz, making the Pharos a 2.5G phone.
