Sprint stops sales of LG Rumor, major firmware bug

well its obvious i have a rumor or i wouldnt be posting here but recently my phone has had a completely white screen that won't even go away when i turn it off. i can't do anything while the screen is white! also since i got my phone in december it has been randomly turning on and off in my pocket. i'm gonna go into sprint today and see if i can either get a new phone or if they can fix it.

I had my phone for a while now and when I turned it on it turned white then when I turned it off and on it worked for about 10 seconds then went back to the white screen. anyone help?

my sprint lg is about 3 or 4 months old, it has recently been very buggy and the screen is all white and now also has weird colored lines thru the screen. it takes me awhile to get the screen to even turn on. i have to constantly slide the phone back and forth and sometimes this does not work for about 30 minutes. what do i do?

I have the Rumor, and its been about 6 or 7 months. About a month or two ago my phone ahs been bugging out. First it turned itself on and off, now the END button on my phone doesn't work!
It pisses me off because everytime i want to end a call i have to wait for the other person to hang up. Sometimes that doesn't even work so I have to take out the battery all the time. I'm so mad about this whole situation... I'm now planning on getting the Samsung Instinct so everything will be dealt with in the near future

i just got this phone about a month ago and now my screen is all messed up. its bugging me. i cant read ANYTHING on it.

I got my Rumor in February and in the past month or so it started turning itself off. Sometimes multiple times a day, and it's started to get really annoying.

I have 3 Rumors and i had to send my daughters back to LG because the screen was whiting out and turning on and off.They had the phone for two weeks and lost it sent another phone and it has glitches when you turn it on.

I bought two Sprint LG Rumor cell phones in Feb 2008, one of them started having problems the second week we got it. I took it back to the store we purchased it from "Wireless Toyz". They told me they have nothing to do with it now that I bought it, I have to take it to the Sprint Store..ugh I went to the Sprint Store, they told me I had to take it back to the store I purchased it from. No one wants to take responsiblity for a defective product. The screen is so light you can not even read the display. This is extremely poor customer service. After several trips back and forth to both stores, I finally got a phone number for LG. I called Customer Service. I have to send the phone to them, they will send me a refurbished one, which stinks since the phone was only two weeks old brand new (and expensive), now I have to get a refurbished one. They said it will be about two weeks or more before I get one back in the mail. I am very disappointed in Wireless Toyz and the Sprint Store, for not taking responsiblity on a product they are selling. This is the worst customer service I have ever had.

Sprint is making a fortune off of my family and our family plan on a monthly basis, you would think they would want to make sure we have working phones, so they could keep charging us a ton of money. Obviously they make the money on the phone bills (phone service), not on selling the cell phones.

When my contract us up, I will strongly consider changing my provider due to Sprints lack of responsiblity in taking care of my NEW cell phone.

My advice, even if you do not insurance on your telephone, call LG. Your LG Phone does have a one year manufacturers warrantee, however not if it is damaged, only if it is factory problem.

my green rumor randomly turns off when in my pocket, and i don't even realize it until hours later... so i just missed an hours worth of text and calls

This is exactly what had happended to my daughters phone and my sons phone is still hanging in there. I called LG and they stated there was no recall and I need to pay the $55 as well.

I've had the LG Rumor since Easter (March 20)... I've dropped it about 4 times, and now my screen is going white and it's turning on and off...

what do I do?

ive had my phone since christmas and it recentlly just started to tweak out . the screen goes white and it wont even turn on now. and i am pissed

i had the rumor for a month abd all of a sudden the screen started to scramble and my phone started turning on and off.

I've had the rumor since late november, and up untill now, late april, it's worked really well except it likes to turn itself off sometimes which is annoyingand i kinda want to know why.

I just started having the open clsed screen problem

i had the rumor for about 2 weeks now and i am a texter, i get about 100 a hour, but the phone just turns off by it selfs when im in the middle of the text message and i cant seem to find the music store so on a gradin scale i would give the phone a c-

i got this phone for christmas and i loved it and now its totaly messed up the screen in blurry and white all the time. i went to sprint and told me about the recall they had on the phone wen i got it. i am getting a new one ina couple of days an hopeefully this one will work!

My son and daughter each have this phone, today my daughter's phone screen went completly white and kept turning its self off and on, my son's phone did this about a month ago (they are about 4 months old with no insurance) and I had to pay $55.00 to get another refurbished phone. This is strange that both phones have done the same thing, I wonder if there should be another recall for this problem.

I have 3 rumor phones in my family. All three have similar problems with turning off during calls and when recieving calls, texts, etc. They also do other weird stuff.
