EU gives thumbs up to Motorola. UIQ deal

Motorola has been ready to pounce at the chance at taking stock for 50% of Sony Ericsson's UIQ mobile OS. The last hurdle for Motorola to jump in order to recieve half control over the Sony Ericsson’s UI Holdings BV (UIQ's parent company) was approval from the European Union. The EU has given Motorola the go ahead, citing no anti-trust disputes to speak of. This could mean many more phones with the Sony OS installed in 2008.
