Download files from the web to your iPhone
Story posted on: December 27, 2007. Filed in: apple.

While the iPhone is great for browsing the web to its full potential, Apple didn't provide a way for users to download files directly from the net to the device. A iPhone hacker has developed a plug-in for the iPhone's Safari browser which allows for files to be saved directly to the devices var/root/Downloads directory.
After installing the software, whenever a download file is clicked in the browser, a green "Download" button will appear, allowing for the option to directly download the file to your phone. What's great about this is that you can even download MP3 files directly to the device. Grab the SendFile application here.Tags:
