Skypephone demand is sky-high

Looks like 3 did not expect the demand for its Skypephone to be this high, with a fair number of stores selling out handsets within days of its launch. This prepaid device enables users to make free Skype calls with a minimum monthly top-up of £10, with selected stores not only selling out their initial shipment, their next delivery has already been pre-sold. Why do you think demand for this handset has been so good? Quite possibly the fact that it is free with a low monthly cost, but fret not - 3 has made sure that there will be plenty of stock available in the coming days.
