Phones to be charged with kinetic energy

M2E Power has been playing around with a concept of a rechargeable battery which runs off of kinetic energy alone. Kinetic evergy is electricity produced by natural motions, like when moving your hands. Not only could these this help out our thriving environment (a little), but could also offer up to 3 to 7 times longer powered time than standard batteries, or so M2E says. All in all, the batteries cost around the same to produce as current batteries, even using less metals. The future goal is to utilize devices to integrate the new kinetic battery to give it a truly public test run. M2E says that devices with such batteries will be seen by 2010.
