Nokia reveals 8800 Arte
Story posted on: November 13, 2007. Filed in: nokia.

Nokia has announced the newest upgrade and addition to their designer line of handsets with the 8800 Arte slider. The Arte features a genuine sapphire on the navigational control button, with leather trim on the bottom half of the shell. Each will also include a BH-803 Bluetooth headset, a leather pouch and a color-coordinated charging stand. As with Nokia's previous designer models, the Arte 8800's will feature special edition audio and visual content, this time provided by downtempo electronic artists Kruder & Dorfmeister provide the tunes while visual artist Fritz Fitzke creates the visual effects. The Arte's features are rooted with the high-end luxury of the 8800 phone, offering a 3.2-megapixel camera, 1GB of built-in storage, and a full OLED display. Most impressive features of the phones are the subtle additions, such as a fingerprint-resistant coating, a silent slider mechanism, and the added ability to silence the ringer simply by turning the phone upside-down. Nokia will offer a black Arte version for 1,000 Euros ($1,460) before the end of 2007 and the brown Sapphire Arte model in early 2008 for the luxorious (meaning high) price of 1,150 Euros ($1,679).
