FCC gives Nokia E51 thumbs up

Nokia's newest member to the ESeries line of phones, the E51, has been given the go ahead by the FCC. The E51 has not been given any confirmed release date, though the low to mid-end device seems like a nice little upgrade for a consistently usable line of phones. At least its good enough for the FCC's standards at least. If you really want one you can grab a European version, maybe try a little unlocking hack job yourself, though this device is probabaly just worth waiting for a U.S. release. Here are some specs to keep you waiting:

Specs

  • quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900 MHz); WCDMA 850/2100
  • dimensions: 4.49" x 1.81" x 0.47", 3.53 oz
  • S60 (Symbian)
