AT&T launches HSUPA LaptopConnect Card

AT&T has released the first HSUPA laptop card. Staring today, AT&T will be enabling HSUPA service on their 3G network. HSUPA increases upload speeds of the HSDPA network considerably, reaching speeds of 500-800 kbps, though download speed will not change. The Sierra Wireless AirCard 881 device supports quad-band EDGE connections, as well as tri-band HSDPA/HSUPA connectivity, providing a way for you to connect almost anywhere worldwide. After rebates and with a two-year contract, the card is free. The unlimited nationwide data plan costs $59.99/month. International roaming data plans are also available – and are expensive.
