Looks like the Nokia N81 8GB is very close to a release since the official demo and support pages are now online. As to the exact geographical location of where the N81 would appear, that remains to be seen. In the meantime, it doesn't hurt to start saving up for one if you're thinking of picking this cellphone up as an early Christmas present for yourself.

Nokia E65 gets price cut

Nokia E65 gets price cut
The Nintendo Wii might not get a price cut this holiday season, but Nokia will slash 15% off its E65 business-oriented handset. If you've been holding out for a smartphone such as this that comes with WiFi, quadband GSM, 2100 MHz 3G, and a 2 megapixel camera, you can't really go wrong with the Nokia E65. This means consumers looking at the Samsung U600 and the Sony Ericsson K810i will now have another choice in the Nokia E65 due to the relatively similar price range. Are you picking one up?

T-Mobile Shadow sneak peek

T-Mobile Shadow sneak peek
Here's the customary blur sneak peek image of the HTC Juno, also known as the T-Mobile Shadow. It features a two-letter-per-key SureType keyboard in addition to other hardware specifications such as 128MB RAM, a microSD memory card slot (up to 4GB), WiFi and stereo Bluetooth connectivity, myFaves 1.5 support, and a new top-level user interface known as "Top Screen". There is no word on pricing or availability as at press time, but the size itself is pretty impressive when compared to the BlackBerry Pearl, making it one of the smaller Windows Mobile-powered smartphones from HTC.

New Motorola phones a fake

New Motorola phones a fake
Well I guess it sounded too good to be true in the end anyway. Looks like the exciting news about a quartet of upcoming Motorola handsets is nothing but hogwash - according to the well-informed spies who leaked this information to Boy Genius Report. I must say they certainly deserve the "Genius" moniker for always getting the dirt first most of the time. Come on, Motorola - prove us wrong and do something about your flagging sales with these rumored (and fake) handsets.

AT&T gets LG CU920 Prada

AT&T gets LG CU920 Prada

AT&T will be offering the new LG CU920 Prada cellphone, which would mean having a couple of touchscreen handsets duke it out over the same network. I suppose it is a win-win situation for AT&T as more choice is always better for the consumers, and they certainly don't have to look elsewhere if they want the LG Prada. Word on the street has it that the LG Prada is extremely light, although what the heck is an antenna doing in this day and age? 3G connectivity has also been touted to be one of its features, but that remains to be confirmed as with other nitty gritty.

Motorola announces PEBL U9

Motorola announces PEBL U9
Motorola has just announced its new PEBL U9 music phone that shares the looks of an MP3 player. While the phone itself doesn't come with any onboard storage, what it does have is a microSD memory card slot (capable of storing up to 4GB) for you to carry your digital tunes. On the outside you find music playback controls and a 1.45" display, while the interior boasts a 2" screen, and a 2 megapixel camera. Sounds like a mid-range handset that boasts more curves than a Formula 1 track. I'd still go for Sony Ericsson where music phones are concerned though, as Motorola isn't exactly on the forefront where user interface and audio capabilities are concerned.

8MP phone from Motorola?

8MP phone from Motorola?
Word on the street has it that Motorola is currently working on the SKARVEN which will boast an unprecedented 8 megapixels - a first for any handset from the Motorola stable.Other features include optical zoom, a 2.8" 16 million color display, touch sensitive buttons, and a kick-slide form factor. As for the Motorola X PIXL, this 5 megapixel handset is rumored to be a joint venture with Kodak, hoping to give some decent competition to Sony Ericsson's K850 and other models in the same class. The Motorola GENGHIS won't be out thirsting for your blood, but will be a smartphone that targets the masses. Last but not least is the Motorola TEXEL that caters to music fans with a multilayered keyboard. One thing's for sure - Motorola desperately needs a boost in its arm after the RAZR craze died down and 2008's release could be just the tonic.
