Samsung G600 reviewed

Register Hardware have reviewed the Samsung G600 and here's what they have to say about it.
The Samsung’s G600's five-megapiaxel camera will be an attractive feature for some buyers. The quality snapper doesn't dominate the phone's design, though. The handet's slim, elegant, understated and solid in the hand. Taking and making calls, the quality of the G600 is top-class too. We experienced clear calls, good reception and an all-round very reliable performance. The on-board music player ticks the right boxes - as long as decent headphones are used - and Samsung provides a generous bundle.
Doesn't sound like a phone that will attract attention, but it's main strength lies in its reliability and quality camera. One of the major drawbacks would be the lack of 3G connectivity - something that we hope to see in future revisions.

Hi, I'm going to buy a new camera phoe with my Christmas money soon and I'm wondering what phone to get. I hear that the G600 is a great phone but I see that the cost of it is really cheap for a 5 megapixel camera phone. I am taking this into assumption that it is only boasting the camera but not the features i.e. a xenon flash. The Sony Ericsson K850i has the 5 megapixel camera, xenon flash, image stabiliser, Best Pic TM etc. and costs only £350.00. The Samsung SCH-B600 has a 10 megapixel camera with a x3 optical zoom, xenon flash, auto focus LED distance finder etc. It also boasts a lot of other good features too.

Just been downloading pics from my new Samsung G600 and thought that the quality was not that great. Started comparing pics with my old Sony Ericson W800i which has a 2Mpixel camera and these seem to be clearer. The Samsung also does not cope well with moving figures. This could be due to a slower processor!?
The menu's tend to be a bit over the top taking some time to complete tasks and for texting its not easy if you don't have long nails as the keys are all flat. However the phone is a good slim design with a large screen. Shame about the camera though!
