The Sanyo S1 has just received approval from the FCC, which means there will be a new candybar handset coming from Sprint in the near future. Measuring just 11.1mm in thickness, the S1 won't knock on the upper echelon's doors, targeting instead folks who are looking for an entry level handset. Features include Bluetooth connectivity, although the lack of a camera is definitely a letdown. Chances are Sprint will make the Sanyo S1 available sometime before the holidays roll around.
