FCC approves X800
There will be a new glofiish smartphone in town soon after the X800 received the nod from the FCC. The E-Ten X800 is tipped to run Windows Mobile 6 Professional on tri-band HSDPA and quad-band GSM/EDGE radios. The features are nothing short of mouth watering - WiFi and Bluetooth 2.0+EDR connectivity, GPS navigation courtesy of the SiRFStar III GPS chipset, an integrated FM tuner, a 2 megapixel autofocus camera with flash, a VGA camera in front for video calls, and a 2.8" touchscreen display. To date, there is no word on carrier plans for the X800 but the specifications show that it is compatible with AT&T's 3G network within the US. Any pundits on who will carry this smartphone?
