Sprint has just completed its first successful walkie talkie call between a CDMA handset and an iDEN phone. This development could prove crucial in Sprint's efforts to push forward a walkie talkie service using its Revision A CDMA network that will definitely go a long way in keeping people connected to each other in the future despite using different devices. Word has it that Sprint intends to launch a service that not only works like the iDEN walkie talkie, but is compatible with such a service over its own mobile broadband network next year. Guess it will get even easier to share the latest news in town with your buds should such a service roll out in 20008.
