G800 to take on K850i

Looks like Sony Ericsson’s K850i has some competition in the form of the G800 from Samsung. This slider handset will definitely have 3G (and possibly HSDPA) connectivity in addition to other digital camera-specific features such as a xenon flash, autofocus, and 3.5x optical zoom. Other confirmed specifications include Bluetooth and USB connectivity and a pair of stereo speakers. In line with the G600 which was recently released, it is safe to assume that the G800 will come with 30fps video playback, video recording, and an integrated MP3 player. Look out for the G800 as it hits the market sometime early next year.
