Rumor: Sony Ericsson Shaker phone
Word on the street is Sony Ericsson are currently working on a new handset that requires you to shake the cellphone in a certain manner in order to change musical tracks. For example, shaking it forward will play the next track and vice versa. Shaking the cellphone from side to side and you'll end up with a random track. Whispers abound that this shaker phone will be sold under the Sony Ericsson S-banner, but I have my doubts until I see one for myself. Certainly it will use flash based memory considering all the shaking one has got to do when changing tracks. Sounds more like a novelty than anything else - after all, buttons work just fine so why mess with something that is not broken? Do you think this claim of a shaker phone holds any water?

You even have to hold a button while shaking it, that kind of defeats the purpose dosn't it?

I guess it prevents it from going off in our pocket though....
