FCC approves Samsung SGH-A617
The almighty suits at the FCC have just given their stamp of approval for the Samsung SGH-A617, making available to the U.S. market yet another entry level 3G handset. Coming in a clamshell form factor, the SGH-A617 is a quad-band GSM/EDGE and 850/1900 WCDMA cellphone, outward signs that point toward a Cingular launch despite the lack of such information in the manual. Other features of the Samsung SGH-A617 includes Bluetooth connectivity, a digital camera, and a generous external display.
