Cellphones these days have turned out to be rather cold devices, dumbing down the level of interaction between people. Heck, a recent study even shows that most folks prefer to break up or convey a piece of bad news via SMS instead of telling it face to face. Students from the College of Art, Science, and Engineering at the University of Dundee have developed the Aware phone that sends a tingle down your back whenever a friend is nearby. Sounds like a sensate version of the "Uh Oh!" alert that made ICQ so famous many years back. Hopefully I won't faint from sensory overload when I walk into a room chock full of my friends.
