Pirelli Discus DP-M30 does VoIP & GSM
Story posted on: April 5, 2007. Filed in: others.

The Pirelli Discus DP-M30 dual-mode handset aims to bring the world closer by substituting the lack of a GSM signal in urban canyons with the power of VoIP, assuming there is a nearby WiFi hotspot. This clamshell handset comes with a lovely 2.2" 262k color internal display, while the external screen shows the bare basics like signal strength and time. Multimedia support includes MP3, AAC, MPEG 4, and 3GP formats, while connectivity options come in the form of Bluetooth and WiFi. A microSD memory card slot is available for expansion options. GSM and WiFi talktimes are rated at 4 and 3 hours respectively. There is no word on pricing and availability.
