Tianyu B832 can be bricked by owner
Story posted on: March 5, 2007. Filed in: others.

Looks like the Chinese aren't just adept at stealing designs and copyrights from other companies, but they show that they can provide some competition by offering a cellphone that enables you to lock it down should it ever get stolen. The Tianyu B832 comes with a notification list that contains up to five numbers - should the handset detect a different SIM card, the B832 will automatically forward a SMS to the aforementiond phone numbers. As the owner, you will be able to reply the SMS and issue a command which bricks the handset. You might not get back your cellphone, but at the very least you get to frustrate the thief!
