Remember the T9 predictive text input system that has helped millions across the world navigate through the world of text messaging in a fast and convenient manner with just a numerical keypad? Tegic Communications, the people who brought you the T9 predictive system, will soon be introducing the XT9 predictive text system that is currently found on Windows Mobile devices to standard dozen key cellphone keypad configurations. The main highlights would be the word prediction list and an integrated spelling correction. XT9-enabled cellphones are expected to be announced sometime in the near future.
